Most famous for being the site of the first shots fired in the American Revolution, Lexington is a town that is very much a part of American history. This former battlefield where brave minutemen fought has remained faithful to its roots and American culture. With a multitude of historical sites, museums, and areas of interest, one can’t help but feel the patriotic spirit. In fact, every year the town observes Patriots’ Day on April 19th to honor the Battle of Lexington, which took place on that day in 1775, starting with Paul Revere’s ride and a special battle re-enactment on the town green.

For commuting, the town has access to I-95/Route 128 highway that encompasses Boston, and the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority provides buses every twenty minutes from Lexington Center to Alewife Station, which is the Red Line hub connecting the western metro-suburbs directly to Boston.
